Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO ) and ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP ) stocks are moving in opposite directions on Wednesday after they disclosed a definitive deal in which ConocoPhillips will acquire Marathon Oil in an all-stock transaction with an enterprise value of $22.5 billion. As per the agreement, Marathon Oil shareholders will receive 0.2550 ConocoPhillips shares for each share of Marathon Oil they hold.

In reply to Kenneth Mullinix. Not to be a pessimist but I’m afraid that will probably never happen. A lawsuit suit of that magnitude is a losing proposition for any lawyer. While it makes a good story line for Hollywood, in reality it’s a loser. Firstly, it’s the US government who has unlimited resources and would drive any law firm into bankruptcy.

Alongside their stated guidance demands which the progress reports are based upon. FHFA requires GSE’s to submit more appraisal service complaints, and conditions executives compensation packages on their continued reporting of appraisers and removal or diminishment of appraisers from the standard lending process.

Private equity firm GTCR agreed to acquire medical device coating company Surmodics Inc (NASDAQ: SRDX ) for approximately $627 million , or $43 per share.
