The School Bell Rings: Time for Class!

Musings on Markets

Continuing an annual ritual of long standing, ahead of starting my spring teaching at NYU starting in a couple of weeks, I would like to invite you, if you are interested, to come along for the ride. In reply to Fred Rossiter. It’s pretty simple. Kinda like flipping through the TV or radio. If you don’t like it, don’t read it… just move on. I for one appreciate a well thought-out and relevant take that’s well supported, just like an appraisal. As long as nobody violates the TOU, you should be able to say what you like.

Speaker: Wayne Spivak - President and Chief Financial Officer of SBA * Consulting LTD, Industry Writer, and Public Speaker

The old adages that "cash is king" and "you can’t spend profits" still hold true today. But however well-known these sayings might be, it requires a change in mindset to properly implement a cash flow management system that predicts your business's runaway as accurately as possible. Thanks for sharing! Yet another instance of gov’t ineptitude. I came across a fraud scheme several years ago involving a community of fourplexes, where the sellers falsely purchased a few model matches for well-above market – with fraudulent appraisals – to then use as comps for real sales. I tried to report it but the extensive paperwork OREA required, about like doing an appraisal, made it not worth it.
